A great compilation for someone who does not have access to all of the outside production work that Brian did (i.e., bootlegs, or the actual releases).

There are so many amazing cuts on this, from Thinkin' 'Bout You Baby, the killer Pamela Jean and After the Game, the great Honeys songs The One You Can't Have and He's A Doll (criminal that they weren't hits), Gary Usher's Sacramento, the two Spring songs, the Laughing Gravy Vegetables rarity, and of course, Guess I'm Dumb. The rest of may not be up at the same level, but the music is fun always, and it's great to hear Brian's productions from a different perspective, where he was more free to change up his sound a bit. That he wrote and sings on some of the songs doesn't hurt, either!

I'll give it a 5 because of the great stuff.

Y'know, he has his own thread in General Music Discussion. Maybe you could enlighten us with your feelings on Serge.

If you have anything good to contribute, why not? I'm trying to make that the number one thread on the board.

concerning Serge...zero. Although i hear Steve Shelly, drummer for sonic youth
(whom I met, incidentally,in 2003, asked to borrow my pen for writing autographs!!!)...likes his work.

are you being a bit sarcastic, Dr.Equire? You're still waiting for me to make another mistake, aren't u?

No, I'm being a statesman here. An ambassador of good-will. I want to see some good discussion on Gainsbourg.
