Well, at least Noel Redding is still alive.

sh*t, guess I've been living under a rock as far as Hendrix is concerned.
So the entire Experience is dead now?

Just this morning, I was watching/listening to Christmas music on one of those cable TV satellites/streams or whatever they are. And, as they are playing these Christmas songs, they have Christmas trivia on the screeen, and today it said: Born on Christmas, Noel Redding (1945). I got to thinking about the Jimi Hendrix Experience, and thought to myself, "You don't hear too much about Mitch Mitchell, I wonder what he's up to".
He was only 62, that's younger than I thought he was. Very sad....

All I've seen is "natural causes," and yet as you say, he was only 62. I suppose a disease is a natural cause, and that would seem to be the case here: one doesn't tend to wear out and pass on from old age so young! Definitely a shame, he was one of my favorite drummers in rock music.

So sad to hear this....
Apparently he had been drumming with the Experience Hendrix Tour (veteran musicians who had known Hendrix and younger artists who have been influenced by him) recently, they did a show last Friday in Portland.

Yes he is.
Buddy Miles (the Band of Gypsies drummer) passed away earlier this year.
