So I'm going to see Brian a week from this Saturday and was wondering what are some good hot spots to visit this way? First time going (to Glenside/Philly, not to see Brian heh). What are the price ranges at Tower Records and do they sell vinyl?

thanks!

Go to the Athena, it isn't too far from the venue and me and a load of friends are meeting there. It has really good Greek food. There is also a place nearby that sells records but I sadly forget the name of it. It is on the left side of the venue.

Okay, thanks! That place sounds pretty good, what are the price ranges at the Athena and what time are you all meeting up? Sounds fun!

this might be the best concert i've ever been to. granted i think this is the 4th concert i've ever seen, but this show will be a hard act to follow. the set was flawless. i never once thought to myself "i wish they played this song". does anyone have any pictures to share? i was hesitant to take pics with my cell phone since they specifically asked not too, the one pic i did take didn't turn out good anyway.

Anyone know what the disturbance was around "Add Some Music"?

There was lots of yelling and security had to escort some folks out.  I thought I heard someone say people got arrested.  That was the last concert I'd expect hooligans at!

In a nutshell, the show was freakin' amazing. Blew away my expectations. I wrote a whole blog about it on my myspace.

I was more in the front, so I was not aware of anything going on.

i heard that there were 2 guys fighting. i don't know if it was verbal or physical though. a disturbance at a brian wilson concert would be the last thing i'd ever think of too.

I was also at this show.
I was sitting about 5 rows back behind the mixing board and I didn't notice any disturbance. I guess I was enjoying the song too much!
Definitely a good show, it's the third time I've seen Brian at the Keswick.
Did anyone else notice that the sound wasn't quite right, didn't sound as "full" during the first set? I'm comparing it to the other BW shows that I saw there before. I don't know if there was a technical problem or what, but the mix wasn't right for a lot of the first set of songs.

The guy sitting next to me had a backstage pass. He'd already seen Brian before the show and showed me a picture off himself with Brian on his cell. After the show, he was going backstage again. He had emailed the winner of the online contest to bring ten friends and asked the guy to let him know if anyone dropped out that he'd be available!LOL! And the guy called him and so he got the passes. Pretty cool.

I don't know what the fight was about, but it happened in the row behind where we were sitting. It sounded like one of them was drunk or something. No clue, but I didn't let it distract me from the show.

In other news:

The whole show was just fantastic. It was even better than when I saw Brian in DC in 2006. Brian was in FINE voice, messing a couple things up in the first set lyric wise, but who cares? Highlights in the Beach Boys set were "Please Let Me Wonder", "Drive-In", "Salt Lake City", "Marcella" and Brian's great vocal on "Sail On Sailor" (best I've heard him sing it). TLOS is an amazing live experience. I can't say if it's better than BWPS because I never saw that tour unfortunately, but TLOS was outstanding. Brian was nailing just about every part. "Oxygen" was amazing, as was "MAD" of course, "Live Let Live", "California Role", and all the others. The band was spot on as usual from start to finish. Just great music all around, and great atmosphere (aside from the row behind us, hahah)
