Hey, does anyone know how long these dogs lived? Were they with Brian 'til the end, or did he get rid of them once the kids showed up? And, most importantly, did they have any offspring and is this most important of bloodlines still around?

Brian says sadly that "They died" in the Pet Sounds Session box booklet, so I'm assuming they stayed with him til the end.
If they were young dogs c. 1964/5, which is presumably when Brian and Marilyn got them, there's no reason why they couldn't have lived into the late 70s.

Both dogs were alive in mid-1971.

I thinking the reason they showed up in all those PS-era photos/film is because Brian orchestrated it. You don't see photos of them beyond the early 70s. Maybe it's because Brian lost interest. Poor Banana and Louie. Fame is so fleeting.

That's right, I forgot about the Surf's Up photos. But what I really need to know is how do I get me one of their offspring? Surely one of those little guys sired some kin!? Even 3 or 4 generations later they might still possess those beautiful voices we here at the end of Pet Sounds. I guess this thread IS kinda stupid, but thanks for humoring me folks.

Heh heh. I doubt you're serious, Grillo, but if you are, you should contact Marilyn and find out if those dogs were ever bred. They may have have beautiful voices, but they seemed a little bit bratty to me, jumping up, peeing and pooping all over the place. Well, what do you expect when Brian Wilson is your role model?    Cheesy
