In the Time To Get Alone video segment (when the BB are shown in Brian's home studio), is that Brian that makes a quick appearance (with his back turned to us, wearing a hawaiian shirt...)?

It looks like him from the back. Just bothering me for some reason.

Let's put it this way, if it's not Brian, then Carl is standing on a box.  I think it's Brian, due to the massive height, towering over Mike.

Cool. Wonder if Brian chose to not have a identifiable shot; otherwise, Mr. Camera man would haved in front of him.

Question:

There's a segment in the documentary where it shows the boys playing in England in the late 60's. It shows fans trying walking in, and the cops trying to keep order, and there's a poster on the wall showing the Beach Boys on the same bill as Paul Revere & The Raiders. Then they cut to Beach Boys performing. Mike is on stage in a white robe playing a tambourine and Carl is singing lead and playing an acoustic guitar. WHAT SONG ARE THEY SINGING? I know its a cover song, but what song is it and who did the original?

Rock and Roll Woman and I think Stephen Stills did it first (I think)

Funny. I was wondering about that a few days ago. The webmaster of this site gave me the answer. :D

Yep, it's Neil Young, Stephen Stills, Richie Furay and Jim Messina's Buffalo Springfield band performing Rock n Roll Woman (as Surfergirl mentioned). Neat song.

Beach Boys do awesome covers!

Is there a bootleg out there that has Beach Boys peforming this song? I really like the BB version.

I think the Buffalo Springfield version of the song is really an amazing recording.  It would be neat to hear a studio version of the Beach Boys doing it, I'm sure they never did, but I'd love to hear their interpretation of it, particulary at the time they were covering it in concert.

Whoever here does not have a Buffalo Springfield album, please get one.
Step out of the BB universe for a minute and dig some of their contemporaries BESIDES the Beatles, please? Thank you.
