. But then there was this name:

1918, Born on this day, Professor Longhair, US rock & roll piano player. Influenced Fats Domino and Dr John. Died on 30th Jan 1980.

Wow, sounds like someone I should know.

Wow, you share the same birthday as the Fess? Yes, please explore his music. He's best known for his two Mardi Gras anthems played all the time down here during the Carnival season- Go to the Mardi Gras, and Big Chief (honoring the Mardi Gras Indians). Also the song, Tipitina (which our legendary nightspot is named after ).

As for me, I share a birthday with some guitar picker named David Gilmour. :-)

Today's my birthday, and apart from impresario Berry Gordy, I'm proud to say I share a birthday with Randy Newman and Sammy Davis Jr.

Equal parts smart ass and candyman, which is about right.

Define "pop star". Stars in the sky. I don't call living creatures "stars". That's laughable & too much honor for plain famous guys & gals.

Short notice: the cat you see to the left is the best. Not counting your indoor cat who might have habit sitting at your left side when you post at SmileySmile.
