Just listened to an interview with Alan Jardine circa 1966 as he was listening to Pet Sounds on a small turntable for the first time. The interviewer was describing some of the photos on the back cover an Al mentioned that the group had visited a Samurai movie studio and did a film sequence there and says that Capitol liked it so much that they used most of it on the back of the album. Now, I'm intrigued by the terms "movie studio" and "film sequence" so my question is this. Was the group involved in a "motion" film sequence or am I reading too much into it and was it rather just a photo shoot? Is there in existence in a dusty vault a film reel of the boys messin' about, Samurai style?

Cheers.
