Sorry for the slightly off topic post, but I have been to New York a couple of times and there were some really great cd shops that had some "rare" BB / BW cds but my memory is pretty brutal.  I am going to New York soon and I would love it if some locals (or those with knowledge) could PM me and tell me the names of some great shops that carry "hard to find" Bb / BW cds.
Thanks!

Thanks a bunch for the helpful info brianc and variable2!

The last two times I was there there was this great (mostly) cd place that had a ton o BB cd boots.  The main floor was new cds (they had almost all the sea of tunes single cds on the reacks as well as the box sets too behind the counter).  Then downstairs they had used cds and overstock. I managed to get several BB /BW rare cds downstairs a pretty good price.  Any idea of the place that I am talking about (I am probably not giving a great description though).

Thanks again.  Any other info is most welcome but maybe via a PM.  Thanks.

I believe you are thinking of Generation Records in the Village.

Can CD stores get away with selling bootlegs on such a large scale in the US?

Uh, maybe someone should send PM's to discuss this topic?  You know BRI people read this board, right?  Melinda is probalby on her way to shut down those record stores even as we speak!

Try the record shop at the end of St Marks Place in the Village. I forgot the name, but it's on the 2nd Ave side of the block. They also have some cool dvds worth checking out.

If not too late, maybe it would be a good idea for individuals to edit their posts.
