Today's entry to my daily childhood songs project (yes, this one took two days; I wrote the words yesterday but went out last night with friends rather than recording; I rewrote some of it, wrote all the music and recorded it today). Just a demo, although a relatively fleshed out one. I hope you like it. I think it's nice. Simple, but nice. http://www.sendspace.com/file/412nml

Nice song, sounds quite different soundwise to your other stuff for some reason, more direct?, has some more resonance in the bass which seems to give the song more emotion - that sounds pretentious I know!
Ear-catching intro and I love the guitar lick (and sound) that comes in around 35 secs.
Good lyrics too - I think we've all been there!

Thanks. It kind of just developed: I intended to do a super-rough demo that was just (stereo) finger-picked acoustic guitar and vocal. Then I wanted another, strummed acoustic in parts (which I recorded on two mono tracks, and panned hard each way). Then it just kept going: my simplistic drums, the bass part (glad you liked that--it was really enjoyable, even though it is also quite simple) and so on.
