The Arizona Daily Star newspaper each day runs a photo from the past from the same date.

Today's "Tucson Time Capsule" features Beach Boys Drummer Dennis Wilson.

Good pics - Dennis in the slammer and Brian in stage playing bass in 78. And good stories too, though I bet the deliquency charge doesn't get mentioned in the POB re-issue notes, eh Jon!

While i will admit BB could be a little ragged sometimes.. Sometimes i think it was that they played such big places + played LOUD..The comment that you could only stretch 3 chords so far is..STUPID.. Im not gonna evan try to disprove that dumb statement..

Yeah, the reviewer seems to have had a preconceived negative (and ignorant) opinion of the affair that was stoked by some of the actual problems.

Man this is when things were really going downhill. In 1970 every member of the band were at the peak of their powers and I include Brian in that basically as well. By 1978 it was seriously foda'd up and maybe it was just the times. Who knows but we lost Dennis and Carl and Brian never quite got back to where they had been. Very sad.
