Pet Sounds photo shoot...

I have a copy of the April 2 1966 KYA Beat. It has an article by a reporter who accompanied the group to the San Diego Zoo for the Pet Sounds shoot. The reporter drove to the LA airport with Brian, Marilyn, Dennis and Steve Korthof-where they met the other BBs and flew to San Diego. They stayed all day-including a rain delay-and caught a 530 flight home.  Two problems-reporter says the shoot was on a Thursday and took all day.....If you look in the Pet Sounds liner notes and Keith Badman's book the photo shoot is dated Tuesday Feb 15 1966. Clearly this is wrong.  The group had a 2 PM recording session that day-so they couldn't be in San Diego till 530 and the shoot was a Thursday....So looking at the schedule-the day that makes the most sense-no sessions scheduled and the BBs not on tour- was Thursday Feb 10 1966. I vote for it...That's the way it goes....
