R.E.M.'s new album- fantastic

Is no one listening to Accelerate? I just listened to it for the first time, and it's 34 minutes of bliss. 

I have all of REM's albums and frankly, I don't think any of them are _bad_, but Accelerate is one of the best. It's so good to hear them so energized, and Mike Mills' melodic bass and high harmonies are exhilarating.

I've only heard it twice so far, but yeah, it's definitely a lot more energetic (and compact) than their previous three albums. It has a lot more in common with "Monster", than with, say, "Reveal" or "Up". Call it The Return Of The Guitar.  Peter Buck must be a happy man.
