I still have an extra FRONT ROW ticket to see Al Jardine in Las Vegas (Suncoast Casino) on Friday April 4th if anyone is interested.  (I'm just looking for face value).

Did anyone catch Al's new website with more samples from his new cd?  They apparently pulled it down to make a few adjustments and it is supposed to be back up in a couple of days.  I enjoyed the song previews quite a bit.  Brian sounds good vocally guesting on the song Drive.  David Marks lends some tasty guitar on the track too.  Three Beach Boys together on a recording.  Pretty darn close to a reunion on that one song.  Al's voice sounds great on the material and I am curious and excited to hear the whole thing.  There were some great pictures on the new site too, with a few words about the songs.  I hope it comes out soon.

The title track's verses sound exactly like Glen Campbell's Rhinestone Cowboy.

That's Al's sound though, I think its a bit harsh to expect a 66 yr old ex Beach Boy rhythm guitar player to change Rock and Roll here and blow you away with a new genre.  Al's sound has always been California meets folk sometimes meeting country with top notch vocals, nothing off the wall crazy.  I guess if you don't appreciate that style, then you probably shouldn't buy the album. I wouldn't think you would buy Jay Z's greatest hits if you didn't like rap.

It's the same as the old web address. It was updated for a few hours and then reverted back to the old site.
