I wouldn't mind doing another track on vol 2.
Only I fancy doing a cover this time rather than just taking a track off my album.

I'm thinking "Getting Hungry" could be cool.
What's the deadline this time?

I second that!  Great choice for a BB cover.  Now I am wishing I'd picked that one...

"This next one's an instrumental...NO VOICES...JUST INSTRUMENTS" haha gotta love Bri, and Mike does the same thing in the BBoy shows too. This next one is all a capella, no instruments just voices. hahah

Yeah, I liked it when Mike introduced the intro to "Why Do Fools Fall In Love" that way, real emphatic..."No instruments, just...A...CAPPELLA...Listen closely."  They did it, then after deeming that it was "so good" that it should be heard again, he initiated it once again!  After all, he IS the star of the Beach Boys Touring Band.

They still sound good because it's mostly composed of younger guys who've had training, obviously.

Okay...I think "Slip On Through" is done.  But, I am thinking I should send an mp3 of the mix to whoever is in charge of this, so they and I will know what will sound okay mixwise, etc., then I will send a CD-R with the .wav file version.

idig,

I heard the mp3, and it sounds great...

Send me your .wav...

Sign me up, I just got the OK from our singer this weekend. It's already done - need to touch it up a bit before submitting.

A very short delay on the cowbell with about 8 repeats.

It's actually five seperate, non-foldback isochronous repeats.

"geographical bias?"

huh? sorry hahah

I e-mailed this band that I performed with last semester if they would like to be a part of doing this with me. They have all the instruments required to do "Susie Cincinnati"  (harmonicas, guitars, bass guitar, drums, vocals, etc. etc.) Cool

I'm about 3/4's of the way through 'A Day In The Life Of A Tree' .. what a difficult song to pick apart and make it your own Undecided

Thing is: I want to make the vocal as emotive as Jack Reilly's voice, but .. my QC wants to go higher Grin

.. and I haven't really made an honest stab at the BB's vocals yet Roll Eyes

Very fine line, fellas .. very fine line Cool

I've settled on "Hotter." I'm going to attempt do a Love You style arrangement. I recorded the drums last night, and I'm trying to find just the right bass sound on my Arp Odyssey.
