 Huh

don't want to appear to negative....

but a short cd ( looks like about 30 minutes) of Beach Boy covers.....
my only question would be...why?

wouldn't a recording of Chris's own songs or some interesting unusual covers be a better offering?

just can't see there being to much interest in a recording like this...
IMHO

It's one thing to pay to see a cover band play. But to pay for a cover band's disc?

This seems like an entirely unnecessary album.

Well, call me a ridiculous completist, but I ordered this CD and have already received the sampler. Summertime Blues is a really interesting arrangement. It's very Beach Boys-esque, much more so than the actual Beach Boys recording. The other songs are pretty okay, except Barbara Ann, which sucks, and California Sleepwalking, which is amazing! I guess it's a Chris Farmer original, and I really like it. If he released an entire album of songs like it, it would be a pretty great album.

Chris has been putting final mixes on the cd this week, added some more vocals  on Barbara Ann's opening.
The liner notes have been completed.

I don't have the final master yet to send off to the manufacturer.  Once received, it will take two weeks to print them.
I estimate Mid- to-late February for delivery.  Then I'll ship them to those who have pre-orders.  For the autographed cds, I'll open them and send the covers to Chris to sign ... so add another 10 days if you ordered a signed cd.

Thanks!

"California Sleepwalking" is the same song, but with a completely different arrangement and sound.  I like them both, but Chris puts a great spin on the song.
