With all of the Beach Boys documentaries that I have, I have never really seen an interview or press conference from the '60's with Brian or any of the other Beach Boys. I've seen tons of Beatles, but never any Beach Boys.

I can't give an answer but I would LOVE to see a sit down chat with Brian Wilson from smack in the middle of the 1960's.

I doubt there exists one, I've read a few interviews from that time but nothing captures it like a video would've.

Did it ever occur to you, Cable, how wise and bountiful God was to put breasts on a woman? Just the right number in just the right place. Did you ever notice that, Cable?

A local So Cal station's archives (radio or TV) would be my guess as to where to look first

National TV didn't chase after in depth rock interviews in those days as a rule unless you were Elvis or (folkie, protest singer) Dylan, neither of them bands. Bands were  normally expected to get on with it/off the stage after the pro forma Dick Clark-type intro and outro chatty bits.

Beatles upped the ante  and changed the rules coming on like a band of Elvises as to pop appeal,  great sound bite dispensers besides.

But that's a guess, only. When did bands started getting 'put on the couch' on TV, as in the shrink's analysis prop and the similar one folks free-associated on for Johnny Carson and friends? I'd think that had the Boys been interviewed at length on David Susskind or Tonight Show in those days, we'd already know about it, but maybe I'm wrong

Too bad there weren't cameras rolling during the numerous radio station 'appearances'.   Roll Eyes
