I've posted what may be my favorite song I've ever written on my myspace. The song is "Go Back to the House," and it's a piano-based, midtempo number about, well, ... listen to the words. It's a little creepy, despite the nice melody.

This isn't new: the recording dates partly from 2005 and (vocals) mid-2007. I hope you like it and am happy to hear your thoughts.

Nice, reminded me of a Macca-type feel!

Thanks: that was very much what I had in mind when writing it.

Interesting note: while it originally was written with different lyrics as a Macca-style "character song," the rewritten lyrics (and the middle music segment) were written literally while I was on a walk. So all the references were literal, if not quite that extreme. The rain, the house into which I could clearly see, not wanting to walk to 56th street ... all factual. But no, I didn't crouch in someone's shrubs and peek in their windows!
