Not sure if anyone else here has ever watched the west wing, but i was just watching an episode and it had the most obscure joke..and i'm just wondering if anyone here would get it.

It went something like this:

Josh: Jack Reese got transfered.

Charlie: Well, I've got my own Beach Boys song going.

Anyone have the faintest idea what that means?. It's a long shot, but ya never know lol.

Huh.  That makes no sense.  That's TV for you.  I usually never watch TV, but tonight I was visiting my parents' house and had the TV on in the background while I was working on the setlist archive.  There is definitely a lot of useless crap on TV.

Anyway, I digress.  Sorry I can't help you, but maybe someone else knows?

Good vibes,
Eric

Yeah Eric, if you haven't been watching much TV lately (like in the last, oh, 5-10 years), you sure haven't missed much. Smiley

Other than watching the Simpsons occasionally when I visit my parents on Sundays, and watching American Idol (and Australian Idol) on YouTube, I really have no interest in TV.  With few exceptions, I pretty much have not been a regular viewer since about 1993 or so.  There are enough distractions in this life!  Cheesy

I haven't consulted a transcript, but did watch that show when it originally aired. I thought there was an additional line in there ("Jack Reese got transferred - that guy gets around") that instigated the Beach Boys joke. For what it's worth,  I thought "The West Wing" was a well-written show, at least the first few seasons that creator Aaron Sorkin contributed to.
