As far as I know there is no video footage. But there are a lot of officially released recordings of the occasion. If I can upload them today, I will PM you. It was a historic occasion in the life of John Lennon because this was the moment John and Yoko began to reconcile after they were separated for 18 months.

I think the three songs were Lucy In the Sky (which towards the end I believe you can hear John playing guitar and singing it almost alone, sounds great), "I Saw her Standing There" (he said 'I'd like to do a song my old friend Paul used to sing'), and I can't remember what the third song was.

I heard that the reason this happened was that Elton sang with John on "Whatever gets you through the night", and told John it'd be a #1 hit.  John disagreed, and told Elton that it wasn't all that, and Elton bet him it would be, and if John lost, he'd appear with him live, the song was released, went to #1, and John went through with his part in MSG that night.

... he said 'I'd like to do a song my old friend Paul used to sing...

I believe the phrase he used was "... a song by an old fiance of mine named Paul..."  LOL

I thought the third song was "Whatever Gets You Through The Night". That would make sense: a new Lennon track, an older Lennon track that Elton had recently covered and a fun old Beatles number.
