Just got back from Mike and Bruce tonight at Mohegan Sun Uncasville, CT. Overall it was a very fun concert, nice song selection. Looked to be the bands children during some songs on stage and then other girls at the end. David Marks made an appearance as well and played some nice lead guitar at the end. The floor was done as a beach, with sand and astroturf. Interesting idea, I was not on the floor so don't know. One of the better concerts I have seen from them overall and I always love hearing that music. I always view it as a great concert if I hear something I never heard before live and they did not disappoint! I am pretty sure of the setlist, not 100% but 98 %

1. Dance Dance Dance
2. When I Grow Up
3. Why Do Fools Fall In Love?
4. Then I Kissed Her (Nice Christian vocal)
5. I Can Hear Music
6. California Dreamin ( sounded good)
7. Sloop John B
8. Wouldn't It Be Nice (John Cowsill has taken over most of this lead now)
9. Surfer Girl
10. Getcha Back (Love the vocal by Christian on this song!)
11. You're So Good To Me
12. Good To My Baby
13. Darlin
14. Be True To Your School (the wheeeeeennn is still annoying, Mike a little stronger on this than I expected but honestly it should be retired
15. In My Room (someone blew a line in this and it messed the group up)
16. Don't Worry Baby
Mike introduces Warmth of the Sun album and dedicates the next 3 to hardcore fans!
17. Let Him Run Wild  (Scott Totten- I was VERY impressed with his lead here!)
18. Little Girl I Once Knew (Scott and Christian)
19. Wendy (Bruce)
20. Do It Again
21. Catch A Wave (tempo was MUCH too slow)
22. Hawaii
23. Little Honda (still like one by the group)
24. Still Crusin
25. Little Deuce Coupe
26. 409
27. I Get Around
28. Warmth of the Sun  (a great performance by Randall Kirsch- a show highlight!)
29. Good Timin
30. God Only Knows (Bruce sounded good tonight-would have loved to hear Disney Girls)
31. California Girls (works well here in the concert)
32. Good Vibrations (Christian and Mike)
33. All Summer Long
34. Help Me Rhonda (where have you gone Alan Jardine?, Cowsill's got a nice voice but still don't like him on this )
35. Barbara Ann (Dave Marks comes out here)
36. Do You Wanna Dance? (STRONG Bruce lead!)
37. Surfin Safari (Mike's voice sounded shot on this one, someone else should take it over or maybe retire it, would have been a great Dave M lead!)
38. Surfin USA
Encore:
39. Kokomo
40. Summertime Blues (I like the arrangement)
41. Fun Fun Fun

Small arena-the WNBA plays there but was not sold out. Beer, drinks, wine, food. Very low key, fun, environment although the crowd was very subdued I thought

Thanks for the review, tpesky.

That's quite a setlist - 41 songs! And some old chestnuts there - "I Can Hear Music", "Let Him Run Wild", and "Good Timin". And how about "Still Cruisin" and "Summertime Blues"!

Sounds like the people got their money's worth, and glad to hear you enjoyed yourself.

That song should never be sung by anyone over 30.

I'm surprised by the "strong" Bruce lead on Do You Wanna Dance... I have a few recordings of him doing that song and he always sounds a bit weak.

But I like the setlist! I wouldn't mind going to a Mike & Bruce show if they came to France...  Tongue

Yeah, they really should come to the European mainland... I'd definately go see 'em.

He has been sounding better on that song lately, probably because it's later in the set and there's lots of energy in the air.  In the 90's, it was usually like the 5th or 6th song in the setlist, and the band was just getting warmed up...
