Quick review of Al's show tonight!! I thought it was fantastic..very upbeat audience, and the band was in excellent form! I miss that band so much, they looked to truly enjoy themselves so much. Paul Schaeffer came up and told about his first concert and played the organ solo on Surfin USA and the encore. Lucie Arnaz was on stage for the encore as well. Spoke to Al after and  got his autograph.

Setlist:
1. California Girls (Al)
2. Do It Again (Al)
3. Catch A Wave (Adam and Matt)
4. Hawaii (Al)
5. I Can Hear Music (Matt-dedicated to Carl)

7. Don't Worry Baby (Matt)
Intro Dave Marks

10. 409 (Dave)
11. Shut Down (Al)
12. Little Deuce Coupe (Dave)
13. I Get Around (Matt)
14. Sail on Sailor (Bobby and Billy)
15. California Dreamin (Al and Matt)
16. California Saga (Al)
17. God Only Knows (Matt)
18. Sloop John B (Al)
19. Wouldn't It Be Nice (Matt)

Awesome ! In a Mojo-interview (I believe) he told Brian that they should do "Honkin' down...". Unfortunately that didn't happen, but now he's playing it with his band. I hope that there will be recent recordings available from Al, Dave and the band. Al on "Shut down" blows me away everytime I listen to his live-CD from 2000 (or what ever it was)

a diseased bunch of mo'fos if there ever was one… their beauty is so awesome that listening to them at their best is like being in some vast dream cathedral decorated with a thousand gleaming American pop culture icons.

PRO SHOT BEACH BOYS CONCERTS - LIST

To sum it up, they blew it, they blew it consistently, they continue to blow it, it is tragic and this pathological problem caused The Beach Boys' greatest music to be so underrated by the general public.

Wow, I would love to see him and Mike Meros, Bobby Figueroa, Ed Carter, Richie Cannata, Billy Hinsche, etc. Those are great guys. My favourite of the 3 Beach Boy bands, though they have the worst setlist.
