I really don't like how A Rose for Emily is just piano. It sounds like a demo to me. It would've definitely benefited from some whimsical orchestration.

I think there's an alternate mix of A Rose For Emily featured as a bonus track on the CD reissue of Odessey and Oracle with a string section playing along with the piano, or if not an actual string section, a mellotron with tape loops of a string section being played along with the piano.
