I was reading (in "Back To The Beach") and I have read it elsewhere too about how Brian saw that movie that said "Good evening Mr Wilson" (cant remember the name of the movie though) and Brian thought it was done by Spector to scare him or something. has anyone actually seen this movie? Did it resemble Brians life (like he also claimed) at all?

The movie was "Seconds" and having seen it, I'd have to assume that Brian was in an altered state to divine any similarities with his life.

Thanks Andrew... exactly what I thought... I think Brian was just becoming so paranoid (from what Ive heard and read) that he started turning everything into negativity.

It's on amazon.com for $13. Not sure it's worth that just for the slight BW connection, but as an interesting movie, probably.

Yeh well I wouldnt buy it JUST for the BW connection, but you said that it was an excellent film so I was just interested in seeing it. On another note, I wonder if the Monkey's Uncle, The Girls On The Beach etc.. will ever be released on DVD (if not already) and what other movies have the boys (atleast one of them) made guest appearances?? I remember reading somewhere that Brian appeared in a movie by himself back in the 60's.. dont know if its true though

Frankenheimer was a good director - or he was at the time at least.  He was responsible for a fair bit of crap later on (Island of Dr Moreau, anyone?) until he kind of redeemed himself with Ronin.

There's also a cool scene with a bunch of proto-hippie beatniks stomping grapes with some fine "au naturale" sixties babes! Grin
