Mixes on Pet Projects?

sorry if this has been covered but...Are the stereo mixes on Pet Projects new, or are they the original? I ask 'cos I noticed that the mix for Shyn'Away is different than on the Spring Plus CD on I can see for miles records. Maybe it's just a better mastering job?

I noticed that with American Spring. BUt I think it is just eq'd differentlly on the See For Mile. It sounds like the Pet Projects version on the "California USA" cd put out by sony. See For Miles seems to have less midrange than the others.
The Honeys stereo mixes were done by Ron Furnick in 1992 for the Capitol Collectors Series. They have been used ever since. Really sad. The only reason I think that Mark's new stereo mixes are ok for BB material is that we have them all on CD in mono anyway. That and they sound fantastic! But the Honey's stuff would be great in mono.
Of course, right in the liner notes for the 1992 Collectors series, the girls say they never really like some of Brian's mixes. The only one that bothers me is "The One You Can't Have" which is kinda muddy and hard to hear. THe fact that several dozen musicans are on the track gets obscured. But the mono mix is history.
Also, as a quick aside, when the 2001 Honey's CD came out, there were some outtakes that were going to be put on there but weren't. One of the Honey's "people" said they were holding them back until the next release of this material. They were promptly informed that the market is going away for those type of releases but they act like they are sitting on a goldmine.
We shall see.
