Going through my old cassettes, I found one I had forgotten all about: The Byron Preiss Tape.  One of the very first compilations with SMiLE tracks on it, in the early Eighties.

Now, one of the tracks is 'Let The Wind Blow' with lead vocals by Amy.
Who is Amy and what's this track?

To quote Bruce, Amy was "some girl that was signed to Brother Records for about ten minutes". "LTWB" is, of course, the well-known  BB track.

Thanks Andrew.

I know the track, I meant what was it for? Was it a special project, kinda like their country stars covers album or was it a single?

Someone - think it was Steve Desper - once told me that at this point in his life, he was recording anyone he could find: gardener, maid, friends.

Amy was brought in for 10 miniutes? I wonder if it was the same 10 miniutes as the girl on "All I Want to Do". Smiley
