I am from Sweden. Who would have thought.

The Wilsons and Love have Swedish ancestry (mentioned by Mike in his infamous Grammy Awards speech) and their Swedish ancestors came from a soldier thorpe about an hour away from where I live. Been in that area many, many times and I watched Mike and Bruce play there in 2010.

Soldier Adolf Fredrik Carlsson Ståhl (Ståhl = Swedish word for steel, a typical name for a soldier) and his wife Christina Lovisa Adolfsdotter gave birth to Charles Sthole in Kansas and he married a Swedish girl, Maria Sofia Pettersson from Illinois, and their daughter Edith married Buddy Wilson, Murry Wilson's father.

Johan Alfred Grön (Grön = Swedish word for green), brother of Adolf Fredrik Carlsson Ståhl. Bears a straight resemblance to Brian Wilson (poster's opinion). Picture from around 1870-1880 (poster's guesstimation).

Murry Wilson is the father of Brian, Dennis and Carl.

Awkwardly, I forgot to post my own bit of the whereabouts info. I have tons of distant relatives living at various places of Russia & not so many - cousins & cousinettes (aka close relatives). My favorite site is not where I'm from, it's a boring townlet - (The) White Mountain(s) is (not sure about the translation). Though I never been there, only saw it on Google Maps, kind of.

Born in DC, lived in Virginia most of my life and living in Connecticut for two years.

And attending school in New York now.

Just thought I'd put in some family history. Family originally from Cambodia, both my parents grew up during the Khmer Rouge and immigrated to the United States in the early 1980s. I don't know anything about my father but my mother and her family settled in Connecticut. She graduated from high school and attended college. Both my parents have been living in the US for about over ten years when they met and she moved to Washington DC with him when they married. The rest of my family from my mother's side are all over mainly the east coast, mostly in Connecticut.

Close to Winnipeg, Manitoba (Canada). Biggest claim to fame musically is the Guess Who and Bachman-Turner Overdrive came from here. And Neil Young.

You're not the only one.

Born in Subiaco, WA. I think it's in Fremantle, which is right next to Perth. When I was a few months old, I moved to Melbourne with my family (My dad actually came from Melbourne, my mum is from Tokyo). I've lived in Melbourne my whole life since then.

Upstate New York-Champlain Valley/Adirondack Mountains...      I live in a small sort-of "redneck" town that just happens to be centrally located to a lot of nicer, more "happening" (and more expensive!) places. Lake George, Saratoga Springs, Albany, Plattsburgh, Lake Placid/Saranac Lake, (all in NY) Burlington VT, and Montreal are all within a 2 hour drive.

Rick, remember me. I was waiting with you at the back of the State Theatre after the MSO tour. I left, you got the pics. I went back the following night and had success, hence my profile pic

Yes, expat (OK, no hyphen).

I spent my earliest years in Findon, Sussex (in a haunted house!) and have spent many holidays there since. A lovely part of the world...

Maybe 3/5 New Jersey, 2/5 Massachusetts, 1/5 other places.

You're originally from over two different states?  Are you 60 ft tall?
