brian said, “Yeah. There was a cut-a piano piece, an instrumental, no vocals-we never finished that.”  on the wind section of the elements, does anyone have that? or know what it is? I'd love to hear it

It's one of the unsolved mysteries of the original SMILE. Many things have been offered as possibilities (like the last part of hollidays, or the piano coda of windchimes) but no real answer is out there.

AGD once said on this board that the "air" section was supposed to sound like the verses of "Country Air" (without the noises)... But I don't know if Brian was referring to that when he talked about the "piano piece".

Give me a year or two and I'll write an essay to answer that question.

i think i read in the new Dominic Priorie book that the elements section was the most complete part of smile.

earth - vegetables
water - i love to say da da
fire - fire
wind - windchimes
