For those of an archival turn of mind, Ian Rusten & I have collaborated on a new section of the 10452 site, listing the shows and sessions by year. As of now, it only runs up to 1964, but years will be added at (hopefully) regular intervals. Click on the link below and see what you think.

A great idea! Just been checking the first pages/years, and thus far it looks marvellous. Good luck to all of those who are working hard on this.

Check out the Beach Boys Starline website, the place for pictures of many countries Beach Boys releases on 45.

Right behind you I see the millions; On you I see the glory; From you I get opinions; From you I get the story

This is an excellent extension. Good to see some of Ian's research listed on a proper website.

1965's already in the works. Expect what you can see already to be revised once I read Jon's book on David.

Very good so far, I just have one question concerning the 1963 Red Skelton show. How was the date determind as it seems a little late not to have Al on it.

Awesome.  You know I eat this stuff up.  Can't wait for '65, as that's been a main point of interest to me for awhile now (along with '63), because of all the touring personnel changes.

When you get to the late '70s-early '80s, I might be able to help, as I've got a lot of tour dates archived, along with info on which of the Boys were at many of the shows.

Al Jardine was a part-timer in the Beach Boys from April through October of '63 - filling in on bass for dates Brian didn't want to do.  Brian did do all the high profile appearances (including Red Skelton) which is why Al isn't on that show.

Read all about it in Jon Stebbins' excellent biography of David. Three thumbs up.  Smiley

The book is available in the U.K. starting next week. Amazon U.K. is already delivering it ahead of schedule. David and I will be in the U.K. for two weeks, March 4th to 19th, promoting the book. The release date is set for May 29th in the U.S. We'll be promoting it here on both coasts starting in late May. We hope to visit major cities in other areas as well.
