At the back of the most recent issue of Mojo where the ads for mail order shops are, one of the shops (can't remember which one) was advertising some DVD box set or something like that of live BB stuff, I can't really remember what it was and I didn't buy the mag, did anyone else notice this? does anyone know what it is?

Probably the new 'live rarities' collection, which (for the money) appears to be a total waste of effort ... surely they deserve better than this ?  Undecided

That's the Music-Cares award thing from last year - Chili Peppers, Backstreet Boys, Jamie Culllum etc

It's a complete mish-mash of era's I believe ... early 60's b&w footage, with a bit of 70's thrown in for good measure - and with little thought as to how it flows. MOST of the stuff seems to already circulate amongst collectors, tho' the inclusion of "Everyone's In Love With You" seems to be a bit random ...
My guess is non-essential  Sad

Well, the Melbourne '78 tracks were never officially released before. Or do they advertise bootlegs in MOJO now?

True, not officially released but available elsewhere (e.g. YouTube).

BTW, the back cover says "Not for sale in the USA. blahblah more blahblah. This film is totally unauthorized and has not been approved by the Beach Boys nor it has been authorized or approved by past or present management of the band. Note: This DVD may highlight the limitations of the original film recording or the source material (??)"
