An American Band questions

Having just rewatched this, I have a few questions/comments:
The Sloop John B. performance - looks like it's a lipsynch job from Beat Club, but the song playing is a live performance. Where's it from?
The segment with Marilyn and Brian in the pool with Banana and Louie - there's a young kid in the pool with them. Who is it?
The God Only Knows Live syched to the silent Lei'd in Hawaii footage - where did the live performance come from?
The live Good Vibrations segment with Dennis in a dark jacket and white shirt - where/when was that?
The Ed Sullivan show Good Vibrations - there seems to be a prerecorded track, but it's not the single studio version, and they're singing live over it? Or is it completely lipsynched? I hear Carl doubletracked at one point. Did they record a track in the studio to play to on the show, with some backing vocals and then they sang over that?
Ditto Do It Again - sounds like the studio track, remixed, with live vocals?
Did anyone else notice Denny hitting the hash pipe during the I Can Hear Music tour footage in the bus behind Carl and Annie?
Break Away in Czechoslavakia - it's a live performance but it's not synched to the footage - this is from a different venue? Which one?
Towards the end at Brian's 34th birthday party, the camerapans past Brian standing with Carl and Annie, and there's someone between Brian and Carl - Eugene Landy?

I think that kid is his cousin or nephew who also appears in some of the Vega-Tables promo photos of BW with Vosse and Anderle. I understand the band pre-recorded those Sullivan tunes and sang along with the tracks. DW is definately puffing tuff!! I'll have to go watch it now to see if that's Landy...

Sounds like the Live in London LP version to me...

The Ed Sullivan performances were recorded prior to the taping at the show's studios and then the taping had them synch to the track (though the singing may have been live). That's how, for example, the Who did stuff on the Smothers Brothers.
The BreakAway track is from the same night. If you look throughout, the AB compilers did a bad job linking image to audio. There are several flubs, for instance, in the Central Park 1971 show, which can be revealed by watching the original version. So it doesn't match but it is the correct night. Go figure.

I have seen this in the E true Hollywood story it looks like 66 or so. I think it may be a Dennis filmed rehearsal silent synched to something else. He did a lot of filming of home movies at the time.

Yes it's Landy

According to Bruce this was filmed in Japan 1966. He once complained on BBB that they should have used more of this footage for AB instead of the Hawaii 1967 stuff.

Really that is very cool. The only gripe I have with that is Dennis hair in the Japan photos seems longer. Bruce is probably right though.

No, it's not cool. I highly doubt it was Japan. My guess is European tour 1966 or whatever around November 1966. If you believe Batman, this was filmed in London.

But wasn't the European tour the one that Dennis complained about the audience laughing at their striped shirts? Dennis looks anything but the surfer in that jacket and shirt, more like a GQ ad!

That's true. But it was a rehearsal. In 1966, they didn't run around in striped shirts all the time. The picture on the 1967 page in Badman's book seems to be from that rehearsal or around that time and the description says "the live band rehearses on stage in London in May". Of course, this doesn't have to be correct.
