I've read somewhere that the French non-remaster of "Ten Years of Harmony" contains different mixes from those on the '92 remaster. Does anyone know anything about this?

The U.K. and the U.S. masters differed, so presumably the French one used the U.K.?

The difference was in the the M.I.U. tracks if I remember correctly - the original Caribou CD release used incorrect mixes for Winds of Change and Come go with Me, and this was repeated on the U.S. master but corrected for the U.K.  There may be a couple of other differences as well which are escaping me now.

So the UK remaster contains the correct mixes and the US remaster doesn't? The French one I was referring to was an earlier non-remaster, so it may also contain the wrong mixes if this wasn't fixed before the UK remaster came out.

The original vinyl version apparently used the 'wrong' mix of "Come Go...", or so I've been told (anyone care to check that out, I'd be mighty thankful - it's been at least ten years since I played the LP).

The US CD rerstored the correct version, but used the album mixes of "California" and "Rock & Roll Music", but on the European versions of the CD, the correct 45 mixes are used.

California Saga Pt. 3 (new mix with unused Brian vocal)
Wontcha Come Out Tonight (new mix)

Cool, Cool Water (shortened version - single?)
San Miguel
School Days (single?)
Good Timin'
Sail On Sailor

Darlin' (live)
Lady Lynda (single?)
Sea Cruise
The Trader (new mix)
This Whole World (new mix)

Looks like the French non-remaster won't solve the problem. To be absolutely sure, I'll have to look for a UK remaster.

That's the correct track listing... however, I have serious doubts as to a) the alleged mix differences; and b) the legitimacy of any Russian release. If you get my drift.

Yes Andrew, the TYOH album "vinyl" has a much less spirited version of  Come Go With Me.  I felt ripped off when I first heard it so many years ago.

Thanks AGD. I compared the mixes with the twofers and yes, same mixes. But the EQ on TYOH is so bad that is sounds very different. "California Saga Pt. 3" is a completely different mix with a couple "On My Way"s which are missing on the album. Must be the single mix...
