How about a song called "Santa's going to sue Al Jardine and Brian Wilson because they've been naughty"

If there weren't singing children, I would've liked it. Cool guitar solo.

I've heard a lot worse from Mr Love. Actually I like the children in this song. For a Christmas song, it's not bad at all.

Yeah, I thought it was quite cute. Nothing fancy, nothing profound just -- well, cute.

I really like this one. Heard about it and thought it was a joke.

I wonder how long ago this was recorded...I think I hear Adrian Baker somewhere in the background (maybe).  This would date this back a few years if it is Adrian.

So how does one buy this?  11/15 has come and gone and this is the first I've heard of an official release.

Mike Love Releases “Santa’s Goin’ To Kokomo”

Nashville (11/20/06) – As 2006 enters the Holiday Season, Mike Love announces the release of “Santa’s Goin’ To Kokomo.” The radio single offers fans a new holiday song to celebrate the season. The solo effort by Mike Love, “Santa’s Goin’ To Kokomo,” is a fresh and fun take on The Beach Boys biggest career hit “Kokomo.” The Beach Boys, despite their undisputed claim as the top icons of the endless summer, have a history of giving the world holiday classics such as “Little Saint Nick” and “Merry Christmas, Baby,” both of which were co-authored by Mike Love. With “Santa’s Goin’ To Kokomo,” Mike Love continues that tradition of spirit that every season should be celebrated in a spirit of fun, fun, fun.

“Santa’s Goin’ To Kokomo” has been shipped to radio stations across the United States. Additionally the single will be available for download on i-tunes beginning Nov. 28, 2006.

Mike Love, a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, is lead singer and a founding member of The Beach Boys. In 1988, Love co-authored The Beach Boys’ biggest hit, “Kokomo,” the song skyrocketed to number one on the charts and was released commercially on the soundtrack to the hit movie “####tail.” Mike Love currently tours as the lead singer with The Beach Boys performing over 150 concerts per year world-wide.

Mike wrote the lyrics to The Beach Boys’ first song, “Surfin’,” released in 1961. He then co-authored eleven Top 10 singles in five years with cousin Brian Wilson, a string of hits including “Fun, Fun, Fun,” “I Get Around,” “Help Me Rhonda,” “California Girls” and “Good Vibrations.” In 2006, Mike has recently completed work on his long awaited solo album.

The period between “Good Vibrations” (1966) and The Beach Boys’ biggest selling hit “Kokomo” (1988) is one of the longest spans of time between number one records in history. This feat demonstrates the ageless, timeless appeal of The Beach Boys. Mike Love is the co-author of both of these smash hits.

Mike Love sums up the song in a quote on the inside of the CD booklet, “The holiday’s have always been a time which we enjoyed the classic songs of the season. ‘Santa’s Goin’ To Kokomo” is something fresh and new. We hope this song adds a lot of Fun, Fun, Fun to your celebration.”

To those asking where to buy it, suggest you look at the press release again - it's a **radio** single which will be available on iTunes from 11/28/06 (cue Twilight Zone music...).

It's cute. I've heard worse in the Christmas genre.

Do you mean like "I Just Wasn't Made For These Times", "Live At The Roxy", "Pet Sounds Live", "BWPS" and half of "What I Really Want For Christmas"?

Merry Christmas, Matt!  police
