Inspired by the Fav Brian look thread...what is your favorite Dennis look? He's changed the most, I think.

I would have to say around 73 when he had really long hair. I don't think he looked so great after 76 or so.

Favorite Dennis look? That's a hard question!
Long hair, short hair, beard, clean shaven...I think this guy always looked good, even in his darkest days.

OK, there was a short period when he didn't look that healthy

I think he should have kept the beard at the end, without it only highlighted how bad he looked!

a diseased bunch of mo'fos if there ever was one… their beauty is so awesome that listening to them at their best is like being in some vast dream cathedral decorated with a thousand gleaming American pop culture icons.

PRO SHOT BEACH BOYS CONCERTS - LIST

To sum it up, they blew it, they blew it consistently, they continue to blow it, it is tragic and this pathological problem caused The Beach Boys' greatest music to be so underrated by the general public.

I think he looked good with beard in the "Cottonfields" video from the "Endless Harmony" docu.

I think he looked best in the late 60s. That third photo you put up there... he looked very, very good.

I think he had about five or six iconic looks. The blonde surfer look on the first few LP's...he was absolutely the coolest. That transformed into a great California meets Beatles type look from All Summer Long through Today, and transitioned into something beyond pop star cool with the BB's Party - Pet Sounds stylish mod look. Then he had another great shorter hair look in '68 that was perfect pop star as well. From there his hiippy transformation was a little messy until he connected with the rugged but clean shaven Two Lane Blacktop look...that may have been the best of all. Jeans, t-shirts---awesome hair. He took that same hair and added a beard and big muscles, plus plenty of painter pants and overalls for the sailing on the Harmony meets biker look of the POB era. That was his last great one...although the 1979 rock and roll Knebworth "animal" should get an honorable mention. Dennis always had the edge on the other guys when it came to appearance...until he was completely shot with a busted up face, too many bad habits, and death all around him...and still...he was Dennis, which is always cooler than not being Dennis.

Cocaine and Booze.......I pick the late 60's -early 70's Dennis look, especially around the time of that movie he made with James Taylor ...Blacktop 'something' , and I say, as a hetrosexual, Dennis was one Hot looking male during that time period....

Dennis got into a lot of fights as his drinking became worse that is why his nose looks so crummy later
