What era do you think did Brian look the coolest? Do you think he should grow back his beard now he's an old man? Was he too thin in the late 80s? Opinions please!

Inasmuch as most everyone looks their best in their early twenties, that's the logical one to go with, but I went with modern day Brian because he simply looks more comfortable with himself these days (and he's got those great new teeth!).

To sum it up, they blew it, they blew it consistently, they continue to blow it, it is tragic and this pathological problem caused The Beach Boys' greatest music to be so underrated by the general public.

Brian kind of looks like his young self these days and for the last ten years or so, clean shaven and with his hair parted and waxed/gelled.
I think he should grow a beard again. In fact all the BBs should grow back their beards IMO.

I've voted for early 60ies, but he looks always good except mid 70ies 'til mid 80ies.

I picked the mid 60s to early 70s. But I thought he looked kind of cool around 84, 85 when he was thin, but still had a beard. But his mental state still wasn't good at that time.

That's such a great picture.
I like his late 60s/early 70s look best as well. When I think about B.W., the Good Humor picture from the Sunflower gatefold is what seems to come to mind most of the time.

That's such a great photo of him. He looks almost serene in that photo.

I would say from 1964 to 1967.
Probably one of my favorite pics of his for some reason.

62-64 is good but I voted for the 66-72. Though his weight went up around the time of Smile, otherwise I think he looked his best then. BTW as far as everyone looking their best in their early 20's I for one look better at 30 because I was overweight at 20.

Brian *is*starting to look like his younger self again in someways. I do think he needs to grow a beard, and quit using so much hairspray.
That said, he kinda looks like my dad did at the same age...
