If anyones skulking around Notting Hill on Wednesday at a loose end, I'm playing a gig at the Notting Hill arts club as part of Alan McGees 'Death Disco' night, i'll be onstage around 8.45. I'll be called, er, 'The Brigadier'

Ah well, I might still be there on Thurday, albeit lying in a pool of drool in a gutter, if you see me, throw me some loose change! Cheesy

I'm going down to watch a guy called Tim Reid.
He's an Australian singer songwriter with a touch of Neil Finn about him.

Hope your gig goes well Matt, you playing solo or with band?

Yes I know Tim Reid, well i've seen him on the myspace he's very good, have a good time!
Myself, well I don't have a band (i've given up on them!) so i'm just playing with myself, a guitar and backing tracks so basically I'm sort of karaoke-ing my own songs!
Its a bit daunting cos there's three other bands on who are sort of indie-rock and I think the venue is geared toward that type of crowd, and obviously my stuff isn't really like that, i'm sure you understand what I mean. Then again, I suppose McGee wouldn't have asked me to play if he thought it wouldn't have fit in, unless he's playing some sort of crazy game! Cheesy

Hi Richard, Yeah really well I think, I had some loud cheers and good feedback, but then the audience  was full of quite a few of my friends so thats probably why. It was my first ever solo gig so I was very nervous but hopefully it'll give me some confidence to do more, I will put up some clips on the myspace soon.
How was your Tim Reid gig?

Solo gigs are nervy. Glad it went well.  Get yourself a band and do some more.

Tim was excellent, and very happy that we'd travelled all the way down to see him.

Cheers Richard, I'm still trying to find that elusive band where everyone is on the same wavelength and can play what I want them to play! I'll keep searching.
