I like this live album. Wish there was more to it, but still. The only thing I hate is that the Beach Boys don't play the entirety of 'Wouldn't It Be Nice'. There's no last verse. I skip that track.
'Aren't You Glad' and 'Wake The World' are great to hear live. 4/10

And wouldn't it be nice to live together, in the kind of world where we belong?

Do It Again from this album has always been my favorite. I even like the Mike and Bruce banter at the intro. I listen to this one quite frequently. There is a sense of urgency in the performance and the crowd is eating it up. It has a great feel to it.

This is a pretty good live album from the group. You've got some fun classics, some rarities and the all around great Beach Boys sound. However, with the possible exception of Good Vibrations, the whole album seems pretty rushed. Their Hearts Were Full of Spring really suffers from this. While that's really my only complaint with the album, it's pretty significant (to me at least). 6/10.

Carl Wilson makes this album!
His vocals are top form here.....
'sorely' missed from the BB sound of today...

Why 'sorely' missed, with the commas? Why not just sorely missed? Using the commas implies there's a joke or you're being sarcastic, which I assume you aint.

It is also used for emphasizing too.

hey Disney.....
'sorely' missed, I mean, when Carl passed on, the whole sound was different.....
his makeup of the harmony parts and lead vocals were critical to the beach boys sound....
and I reckon he is 'magic' vocally on BB69.
Mike and Bruce do a good job...... but I saw Carl and the guys in 92, and Carl Wilson stole the show...... vocally.
Hardly the same group without a 'Wilson' in the band........
Such is Life.
Cheers, RickB

Their best live album, alongside In Concert.
Two complaints, it's a little short, and they ended the album with Barbara Ann!

A great show. Lots of energy and in top form. No songs from earlier than 1965 which is good when you're not in the mood for surf or car songs.

I originally bought this LP as an import 1971 I believe and I must have owned 3-4 versions all with different covers.. Bought the USA one in 1976.. The guys are very good here with some deep cuts that were new when this came out.. Some back up musicians along to fill out the sound.. EXCELLENT.. !! This LP has been played HUNDREDS of times over the years and has the only version of Barbara Ann I can listen to.. LOL !.. Sure would be nice to get some more stuff like this to be released.. 5/5

I've only recently discovered this album, but wow, it is quickly moving up the ranks of my favorite albums of the Boys.
There's just something so magical about it. The horns are great, their vocals are great, and they really rock hard here. They really bring new life to Brian's compositions.
Plus, I love shorter albums, so the length is no issue for me at all.

Nice stuff. "Aren't You Glad" is the one song I wish was known universally, not just live in London. hire another singer if Mike is not up to snuff, just anything for it be heard.
"Barbara Ann" is fantastic! Lotsa energy.
Same feelings about Aren't You Glad.
