George Clinton, The Beach Boys’ Mike Love, and The Doobie Brothers are among the 2025 inductees into the Songwriters Hall of Fame.

Other members of the 2025 class include producer Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins, Ashley Gorley, and Tony Macaulay.

Key songs in Clinton’s catalog cited by the Songwriters Hall of Fame include “Atomic Dog,” “Flash Light,” and “Give Up the Funk (Tear the Roof off the Sucker),” while Love is being recognized for Beach Boys hits like “California Girls” and “Good Vibrations.”

Meanwhile, Doobie Brothers members Tom Johnston, Michael McDonald, and Patrick Simmons are being credited for songs like “What a Fool Believes,” “Black Water,” and “Listen to the Music.”
