As a fan of reaction videos, I’m always getting them in my various feeds.  This one by a UK YouTube-er named Crafty takes a look at the BB appearance on Ready Steady Go from 1964.

I enjoyed that. Thank you for sharing!

Here is a very interesting video from a jazz pianist who only recently discovered the complexity of Beach Boys music:

These "reaction" video can vary wildly; you really have to vet the person making them.

I recall the vocal coach video guy that did a Roy Orbison reaction video and said Orbison was "still out there performing" even though he had been dead for over 30 years.

I've seen several BB videos where they seem like they *have* to use an actual film/video to react to, and they only have like early TAMI or Sullivan or other early TV appearances. They should just be "analyzing" the studio tracks, because while the BBs sounded pretty good on "Ready Steady Go" in 1964, it's not nearly as impressive as the studio versions.

Like, "Wendy" from the Ed Sullivan Show is not the best video for a "Shredder British Guitarist Analyzes the Beach Boys."

I’m going to have to look for this Roy Orbison reaction video, both as a big fan of his, and just to laugh at the incompetence and lack of researching in this video.

I enjoy the band’s live work, but that comment is hilarious, HeyJude.

That one was great.

Recently I discovered a similar Youtuber who is a Classical harpist and pianist (and who appears to know some jazz too) but knew next to no pop music. So a friend of hers challenged her to listen to some stuff and analyze it. She did This Whole World here:
