Hello all,

Glad to see the board is up and running again. Wanted to let you know that my cohost Phil Miglioratti and I recently dropped a new episode of Surf's Up: A Beach Boys Podcast Safari paying tribute to the late great Billy Hinsche. I shared a lot of info from my interview with Billy for my book, much of which ended up on the cutting-room floor. We discuss his days in Dino, Desi & Billy, the official Beach Boys membership offer he got but couldn't accept, cowriting "Lady Love" with Brian and "Away" with Dennis, unreleased lead vocals on BB tracks, and more. We hope this adds a little bit to the discussion about Billy's place in the band's story. You can find us on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Amazon Music, Audible, Amazon Alexa, Facebook Mobile and on SoundCloud here: https://soundcloud.com/user-93394161/remembering-billy-hinsche. If you get the chance check it out and let us know what you think.

I haven't had a chance to listen to it yet, but I really appreciate your doing a tribute for Billy.

Thanks, Ken. As I mention in the podcast, it was such a pleasure speaking with Billy for my book and I wanted to share his great stories.

I’ve now had a chance to listen to the podcast. You guys did a terrific job, especially in helping listeners understand who Billy was, his role with the BBs, and his relationship with Carl and Dennis. Billy made friends with everyone it seems, including many of us fans — I miss him (and Carl) so very much.
