The Eric/Hit Parade/Complete 60's label has just released four new CD's, and one of them contains a new stereo DES mix
of the single version of "Be True To Your School".  Sounds terrific to me, but take a listen:
The sample is track 23 on this page...

These are all digitally extracted from the mono versions.  There's enough going on in different frequency ranges in this song that some good separation can happen, doesn't sound bad at all.

I can't recall... do the multitracks exist for this track?  Has a real stereo version appeared anywhere?

This sounds not too bad. Makes me hopeful for where digital extraction will be in a few years. All around a good sounding mix, with some oddities in the backing vocals by my ear. Though that last part seems an inevitable consequence of digital extraction

Trying to figure out which of my organs I could sell for outtakes and live.

Wow! Stereo processing and digital extraction have come so far, even in the last few years! Oftentimes, these stereo remixes can sound 'off' and nauseating, but they did a fabulous job with this one, it sounds outta sight !!
