Is this track one of the most perfect in The Beach Boys' arsenal? Always loved this one as it's got the full package. Great lead vocal, great background vocals, Mike's excellent bass vocal, great production and an instrumental track that chugs along at a great lick, with Carl's guitar flicks  and Hal's instinctive drum fills. Just a shame the song lasts for less than two minutes. A real gem.

Surely it's Dennis's instinctive drum fills?

Yes, a beautiful track that shows the beauty of the Beach Boys' music, even if it is about a car  Cheesy
Mike's bass vocal during the chorus forshadows Dennis' "Truck driving Man" in "Cabinessence".

a diseased bunch of mo'fos if there ever was one… their beauty is so awesome that listening to them at their best is like being in some vast dream cathedral decorated with a thousand gleaming American pop culture icons.

PRO SHOT BEACH BOYS CONCERTS - LIST

To sum it up, they blew it, they blew it consistently, they continue to blow it, it is tragic and this pathological problem caused The Beach Boys' greatest music to be so underrated by the general public.

Yep, no way Dennis isn't drumming on all the new songs on Little Deuce Coupe (Besides A Young Man Is Gone of course).

Glad to see someone else holds this opinion! Definitely in my top 10 - possibly top 5 Beach Boys songs. Mike's bass vocal is incredible on this - and (being overdramatic but I really feel this way) "incredible" doesn't do it justice. That song has the perfect feel.
