I've listened to this concert many times over the years and I don't hear Brian. I realize it's not a great recording but does any one hear Brian's voice?

He’s all over it-you do realize that’s him and Carl singing Mike’s lead on Do It Again. He also sings duel lead with Al on surfer girl. He sings the bridge on WouldNt It be Nice, he also sings both Mike’s part and his own part on add some music and took the lead on Barbara Ann and aided Carl on Good Vibrations.  I’d say he sang a lot more than he would in future years in the BBs

Where can I hear this recording? It might have come from a friend of mine, but he insists he can't find it now.

To sum it up, they blew it, they blew it consistently, they continue to blow it, it is tragic and this pathological problem caused The Beach Boys' greatest music to be so underrated by the general public.

I gotta say anybody that is absolutely sure they are hearing Brian on this recording must have a much clearer copy than I do.

Thanks! The Raiders were on that tour with the Beach Boys, promoting their Collage album. Sure would like to hear their part of the show.

The tell that it's not just some random circa 1970 recording is that Mike is *clearly* not at the show. That narrows down the possible shows to very, very few.

But yeah, it's not like Brian just steals all the leads.

A much more stark case of filling in for Mike are the 1990 shows where he was absent and Al sings almost all of Mike's leads.

The Wilsons + Jardine were certainly a helluva live act even without ML.
