Hello all,

Wanted to let you that Surf's Up: A Beach Boys Podcast Safari has a new episode featuring an interview with keyboardist Carli Muñoz, who discusses the group's 70s touring unit. And that great organ solo on the live "Leaving This Town."  Of course, Carli was also a skilled composer and wrote songs for Dennis' projected Bambu album. Here he talks about why he felt compelled to rerecord those songs for his In My Soul album. There's a song there called "Wake Up America" that was also intended for Bambu. He reveals the inspiration behind all these songs and the sometimes crazy circumstances in which they were written. He also talks about his good friend Jack Rieley and "Constant Companion" co-writer Rags Baker, with whom he deliberately got arrested after recording the demo!

You can hear it at Apple Podcasts, Spotify and on SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/user-93394161/carli-munoz-a-decade-at-the-keys-writing-for-dennis

Alan: “God forbid any other Beach Boys go up onstage and actually be a Beach Boy.”
