So, if you are bored you can check out www.beachboysgigs.com and you will see that I have completed 1965-so you can look at all the entries, rare photos, concert advertisements, etc. The photos are usually from that day's show. Unlike the Beatles-where literally every show after 1962 is well documented (indeed the Beatles are such a cottage industry that virtually every photographer that ever met them has gotten a deal to publish their photos) with BBs shows-there are many shows where you can't find a photo-though I know flashbulbs were flashing at every concert. Many photos are backstage shots with promoters or with an opening act. Anyways, up to now I have completed 1962, 1963, 1964 and now 1965.  I thought I'd have a lot more done....but between the washing and the ironing and the mowing....Anyways enjoy!

Holy sh!t!! So they did indeed play "The little girl I once knew" live during that era? I'd love to hear that  Shocked

Regarding "Friday August 6 and Saturday August 7, 1965", I never heard either of Elvis meeting them at that point. I doubt that he would go out and catch their show while filming what has to be in the Top 2 of his most embarassing and awful movies. But he was interviewed on set by Peter Noone on Aug. 18th and didn't say a word about the Beach Boys:

The "Herman's Hermits interview" - Elvis interviewed by Peter Noone on the set of "Paradise Hawaiian Style" in Hawaii on August 18th, 1965.

a diseased bunch of mo'fos if there ever was one… their beauty is so awesome that listening to them at their best is like being in some vast dream cathedral decorated with a thousand gleaming American pop culture icons.

PRO SHOT BEACH BOYS CONCERTS - LIST

To sum it up, they blew it, they blew it consistently, they continue to blow it, it is tragic and this pathological problem caused The Beach Boys' greatest music to be so underrated by the general public.

Ian, your site is a great resource! I have one little request, tho. Can you set the main body text to something easier to read, please? The font is showing up very thin and light in color on my tablet device.
