The whole of the Beach Boys Love You album processed as music from a 1980s video game. At last! (Actually it's strangely compelling...)

a diseased bunch of mo'fos if there ever was one… their beauty is so awesome that listening to them at their best is like being in some vast dream cathedral decorated with a thousand gleaming American pop culture icons.

To sum it up, they blew it, they blew it consistently, they continue to blow it, it is tragic and this pathological problem caused The Beach Boys' greatest music to be so underrated by the general public.

As someone who has fond memories of being a kid during the 8-bit era of video games, this is just wonderful. Love You makes an easier transition to an 8-bit chip tune because of it’s more stripped down, primarily led by synthesizer and rudimentary drums. Plus, the 8-bit recreation of the album cover, which was already pixelated, is spot on. Now I want an NES-style Beach Boys video game with this as the soundtrack to it.
I think 8-bit recreations of Friends and Wild Honey would work just as well. Thanks for posting that.

Wouldn't it be nice if we were older, then we wouldn't have to wait so long
And wouldn't it be nice to live together, in the kind of world where we belong?

Thanks for sharing. I agree that it's strangely compelling. I'm appreciating the melodies more.
