Soothing sounds for these abrasive times! I particularly liked "Earth's Lament". Nice work, sir.

My pleasure, Dean. Yes,
Vol. II
is more soothing but still I prefer
Vol. I.
There's a bit more variety there, more koto (a fascinating instrument).
My favourite track from
Vol. II
is "(You're In) My Magical Dreams".
Keep up the good work! Looking forward to
Vol. III.

Dean, for some reason your odd numbered volumes work better for me than your even numbered ones!
In fact
Vol. III
is now my favourite. Every track's a winner and the whole album flows very well.
Congrats! I'm curious to see if you can top it--no easy task, I suspect.

there's a lot of music lying dormant on my musical vault, the volumes 2 and 4 were a kind of quick releases but i feel that the vol. 3 was the best release because i tried to find and mix the best tracks i have created, i will do my best with the vol. 5 and thanks for your sincere and cool feedback JK!!!

The volume V. is up now!
https://deanentwistle.bandcamp.com/album/in-quarantine-vol-v
I'll be working on a new project coming soon (with less improvisations), this project was more like an excercise to me (musically and creatively) full of improvisations but now I'm ready for a different project. Thanks for the support JK (and to the others who listened to some songs of every volume)!

Hi Dean. OK, I've got it bookmarked! I'll listen to it as soon as I can.
Your and aeijtzsche's music are two rays of light in the darkness right now. Other things I've been listening to recently include Skip Spence's
Oar
and (at the other end of the spectrum) Boston's debut album. Strange times can call for strange choices!
Take care.

Hi Dean. I gave
Vol. V
another listen this evening--the first listen didn't really sink in for some reason--and I found I liked it a lot more. There are subtle touches I missed first time round. I like the dissonances that creep in (most noticeably in #2), as if you're saying I know all's not well with the world but we have to push on--and what better way than through music? "Closure" brings it all to a positive end, with a suggestion of strings.
Vol. III
is still my favourite though.
I miss the koto!
Really looking forward to the new project.
All the best.

hi JK, thank you for your kind and humble words, volume III. is my personal favorite too and I'm happy that you liked this little project.
Actually, I created a project with the faux kotos some days ago!
Here's the link:
https://deanentwistle.bandcamp.com/album/kotos-of-madness
I recorded like 15 kotos and I tried to pick the best ones for this little output, I hope that you like it and I will try to record more faux koto stuff for a follow-up album
Thanks!!!!

Hi Dean. Now
this
is more like it!! Thank you! I love the sound of the (faux) koto. It takes me to a peaceful place.
You know what this reminds me of a little? Some of the more minimal beat-less things by Aphex Twin, only he's more repetitive and what he does isn't improvised.
Keep up the good work! Looking forward to that follow-up album.

Dude this is INCREDIBLE....especially Cry of the Moon. I can definitely hear the Brian influence on regards to the chord progression. Absolutely beautiful. My wife and I are stunned listening right now

Thanks mate!! Yes, the Wilson-esque and Bacharach-esque influences are so dominant on that track, I will try to record a piano only album with that kind of feeling, thanks man!!!!
