I'm most familiar with Lyle Mays' work as keyboardist with The Pat Metheny Group. And from Joni Mitchell's live album Shadows and Light. This is the contemplative "Before You Go" from his 1988 solo album
Street Dreams.
Rest in peace, sir.

That means
three
of the world-class musicians on Joni's
Shadows and Light
album died before their time. First Jaco, then Brecky Brecker and now Lyle.
And, I now see, three of The Persuasions have passed too. R.I.P. all.
