Songs that remind you of specific Beach Boys songs

Are there any songs that remind you of specific Beach Boys song? It could be a similar lyric, melody, arrangement, key change, etc.
I'm currently revisiting Neil Young's discography after many years and an old favorite of mine "Out on the Weekend" now reminds me of "We'll Run Away". You may be scratching your head as to why that is, but the instrumentation stops playing for the first bar of this section here
https://youtu.be/TuXMQQtcQ_U?t=92
, providing the same effect as the backing track of "We'll Run Away" fading in after about a bar and a half (?) here
https://youtu.be/bs_B6CMOZKY?t=28
. I think it's a really cool effect. No doubt used in many other songs, but it's the Beach Boys that spring right to mind!

Cool idea for a topic, B.E.. The one that immediately springs to my mind is Culture Club's "Karma Chameleon". The first three notes sound pretty well identical in tempo, pitch and timbre to the first three notes of "You're So Good To Me" but after that the two songs don't sound like each other at all!

there's a song on the lennon "double fantasy" album... one part of it sounds like "don't worry baby" 's verse "but she looks in my eyes and makes me realise" don't remember the title...

Yeah, a lot of people seem to make this connection. It's "but when I see you darling, it's like we both are" in "(Just Like) Starting Over".

Veering spectacularly off topic here, but while we're on the subject of "Karma Chameleon" I have this rather disconcerting habit of hearing religious things in songs that aren't there. For years (decades) I could have sworn that Boy George was singing "Every day is like the Bible" (instead of "survival"). The mind boggles.
And in Wang Chung's "Dance Hall Days", I persistently heard "We were cool on Christ" until the world wide web put me right (apparently it's "craze"). H'mm.

Funny, as much as I love Just Like Starting Over and Don’t Worry Baby, I don’t think I’ve ever
heard
it like that, not that I, denying it exists, I’ve just never heard the connection.

I hadn't made the connection either. Not until fans started pointing it out. Even now, I can't say that I think of one while listening to the other, but this is exactly the kind of thing I'm interested in!

Here is something in this category that I posted about awhile back. I still think it sounds so incredibly similar that there's no way there wasn't a direct influence.

Just listened to the song "Your Love is King" by Sade from 1984.
http://youtu.be/k1ljpLQ1V6Y
The intro sounds almost identical to Brian's "I'm So Lonely" from 1 year later.
http://youtu.be/emKjSkUpDrk
I wonder if Brian (or one of the ISL studio musicians) was a Sade fan. Too close to be a coincidence, don'tcha all think?

I always thought the chorus was “dance all day” not “dancehall days” despite the title of the song being a fairly big clue as to the lyrics. Which, as an aside, are quite weird when you really look at them. “Take your baby by the hair”, “take your baby by the ears”? What??

I hear what you mean. I think both songs are in the same time signature as well. 12/8?
Btw, according to Wikipedia, "Your Love Is King" wasn't released in the US until 1985. Though, that doesn't mean they hadn't heard it.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought the Big J was in there. I've also seen "cries" in online lyrics for "DHD", which makes no sense at all!

There’s a song from Toy Story that I’ve never been able to find the name of that reminds me of the verses from H&V and maybe if there was a little Billy Joel mixed into it equals this Randy Newman song.

It is not a song, but when you plug in an iPad to the mains to charge it and switch on the plug, it makes like a notification sound. That tonal beep sounds like the first note of Wouldn’t It Be Nice.

I've got a follow-up: ELO's "The Way Life's Meant to Be" also sounds like Heroes and Villains to me.

Lyrically, Bob Dylan's "Heart of Mine" is reminiscent of Brian's "Don't Let Her Know She's An Angel". Check out these (prominent) lines:
Don’t let her know
Don’t let her know that you love her
Don’t let her see
Don’t let her see that you need her
Don’t let her hear
Don’t let her hear you want her
Don’t let her know
Don’t let her know where you’re going
