You Only Live Twice, by far.
Way below that would be Goldfinger, Thunderball and For Your Eyes Only.

Probably "We Have All the Time in the World," although I wouldn't consider that to be James Bond Music of the traditional, trademarked variety.  It's merely a great song, albeit one for which John Barry wrote the music, Bacharach stalwart Hal David wrote the lyrics and Louis Armstrong contributed -- among, if not, in fact, his last -- one of the most sublime vocals ever recorded. (And, really, with that pedigree, you couldn't go wrong.) All of the "On Her Majesty's Secret Service" stuff is brilliant, though.

Others:

Dionne Warwick: "Mr. Kiss Kiss Bang Bang" (was the original, superior theme to "Thunderball" -- deep-six that Tom Jones merda that deep-sixed it, man)

Shirley Bassey: "Diamonds Are Forever" (somebody shoulda sampled it long before now)

Scott Walker: "Only Myself to Blame" (made "The World Is Not Enough" OST but not the movie) (really, it's not THAT great, but Scott and Bond are an inspired match)

Nancy Sinatra: "You Only Live Twice" (perfect in every way, but not to its detriment)

No way, dude.
Good call on Louis and Scott, though.

You Only Live Twice.  The best.  All the music in that film is awesome.  Totally done in 66/67

Nobody Does It Better by Carly Simon  What a great song.

Sheryl Crow's theme was very good too.

Madonna's was by far the worst.  Bond theme's should be sexy, not something you'd hear in an aerobics class.

Oh, come on! It's GOLDFINGER, of course! Is there a Shirley Bass backlash going on or do the whippersnappers have to be taught to respect and recognize their elders, or what? Just repeat "He loves only gold!" seventy five times as Shirley does, while doing Richard Simmons aerobics if you must, and maybe you'll get it.

Put another way, Bass is the vocal equivalent of John Barry Brass. The two fit perfectly, the Bond musical Martini.

Hell yes.  Half the stuff on their first album sounds like it could have been a Bond theme anyway.  They nail that dark, sexy vibe perfectly.

You Only Live Twice is probably the best track of all of the Bonds.  Love love love that production.  Goldfinger is the archtype Bond theme.  Nobody does it better is probably the best song.

But NOTHING can touch the soundtrack as a whole to OHMSS.  That soundtrack RULES.

My vote goes to "Pet Sounds". Seriously, it should have been used for a Bond-movie. And it should have won a damn oscar.

I was watching the marathon last nite too.   AMC  didn't used to edit or have commercials..  What happened to that?

As for Bond themes.......

You Only Live Twice....by far the best to me.  Nancy Sinatra's finest work and I love the song and production as well.  A powerful nostallgia for me.

The World Is Not Enough

Garbage did a great job. That's probably my favorite and Shirley Manson is sexy as hell.
