Not finding a topic devoted to summer music (incredible!) I decided to launch one myself. Okay, it's already August but better late than never.  Grin

Summertimeís Calling Me by The Catalinas is one of the masterworks of Carolina beach music. Hopefully itíll get a lot of new fans from being played on the Sirius XM channel that replaced The Beach Boys one.

The funny thing is, much as many famous Christmas songs and records were actually written and cut in summertime, the Catalinasí song was written in December 1975... during a snowstorm in the Great Smoky Mountains, no less. More on that here:
